Deanna Taylor has always had a love of art and creating things. She is self-taught by watching other artists, joining art groups and taking classes. She has used pastels, acrylic, pencil and airbrushing. When she was about 23, she started to airbrush and did fairs, painted on boats, snowmobiles, golf carts, jackets, and many other things including people themselves. She always found it challenging and fun. In 2020, knowing she wanted to paint more landscape and nature paintings because of her love for nature, she started dabbling in acrylic paint on canvas using palette knives and lots of thick texture to try and create a more 3D effect. She wants you to feel like you can almost step into her paintings. As an award winning artist, she has exhibited at multiple libraries, stores, gift shops, art shows and at Grand Rapids International Artprize. Deanna has been interviewed by TV 13 ABC, Wood TV 8, BCAN, WGTE Radio. She has appeared in The Blade as well The Scribe. Deanna has some of her pieces on display at Gallery 317, All Art Works Gallery, Round N Round Gifts and Everyday People Café. Her art can also be viewed on her Facebook and Instagram sites at DTaylors Art. She loves looking at the beauty in nature because of the memories and emotions it evokes in her and tries to capture it in her paintings in an impressionistic way. She hopes she can bring some joy of that beauty into other people’s homes with her work. Her style is impasto impressionism. She hopes you enjoy it.
